Salads! Salads Salads Salads LOL! I got so sick of salads I to this day won’t eat a salad! But it was what I needed to do. I had the worst diet, junk food… fast food … just trash! When I started Slim in 6 for breakfast I would have special K just about every morning. If I was super hungry I would eat a banana with it. Then I discovered special k with those chocolate chunks… LIFE SAVER! I mean this stuff is great. When you have a chocolate craving it is a quick fix as well! It’s low cal and healthy. I mean obviously it’s better then cracking open a bag of peanut M&M’s.

For lunch I ate a lot of salads like I said before. Blah! Or I would try to make something not so good tasting look good by toasting it LOL. I would buy wheat wraps and then put turkey breast cold cuts with spinach and cheese and toast it. I don’t know? Making it look like I bought it from a restaurant and took it home to eat made it taste to much better for some reason. Then for dinner I ate whatever I was making the rest of the family… but in portions! I also used common sense. If I was making spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread I would put no more than a fist full of pasta (and I switched to whole wheat pasta) with normal sauce and maybe 1 or 2 small tiny meatballs. Not 3 or 4 huge meatballs. And I would eat the center of the garlic bread. I don’t like the crust anyways so just eating the center of 1 piece was smaller then eating it with all of that hard crust.

Now the hard part… snacking. If I knew I was going to want to snack I drank water. I drank so much water it felt like I was pregnant again! Not only does it fill you up but it flushes all the gross bad things out of your body as well. But I did give myself my “one day”. My one day a week where I had one meal and one snack … ne thing I wanted. It was usually a meal that was out at a restaurant and dessert to follow. And it was anything from McDonald’s Chicken Nugget meal with 2 or 3 Reese’s peanut butter cups as dessert to a Hawaiian Pizza from Pizza Hut and a Blizzard from Dairy Queen. So yes I ate LOL! But this is what worked for me. And since I was still seeing results I stuck with it. But man did I look forward to my “one day”!
